Basic Information & Location
St Paul’s is an independent school offering an outstanding, all-round education for gifted boys aged 7 to 18 years.
School Motto
The school aims to admit highly able, committed and curious boys; then to care for them in an academic environment tailored to their specific needs; and to equip them with the skills to contribute to wider society long after they have left St Paul’s.
Academic Matters
St Paul’s School enjoys an outstanding academic tradition, which fosters a culture of scholarship, creativity and enquiry. Its teachers are experts in and passionate about their subjects, and they venture well beyond the assessed syllabus. An education at St Paul’s is not about percentages of A grades or equivalent. It is about fostering a sense of scholarship far beyond the examined curriculum and about enjoying diverse extra-curricular opportunities.
Boarding / Pastoral Care
St Paul’s pastoral care systems are designed to help boys grow into well-rounded, reflective, caring, thoughtful young people. Staff provide outstanding levels of care, support and guidance, helping pupils to develop their own resilience and good judgment. The School also aims to become a beacon for safeguarding practices within the Independent sector.
Extracurricular
Sport at St Paul’s School is fully inclusive and the aim is to identify and help develop the potential of all boys from the interested novice to the elite performer. The school places great value on creative subjects; these complement and enhance its academic curriculum. Each department, Art, Music and Drama, has its own dedicated building allowing for complete submersion in each craft.
