Basic Information & Location
Warminster School was founded in 1707 and is considered one of the top independent day and boarding schools for boys and girls age 13–19.
School Motto
Warminster views each child as a complete individual and strongly believes in each child’s holistic development. Individuality is valued and nurtured within a community built on a caring and supportive atmosphere. Children are encouraged to reach their full potential, not just in the classroom, but also through sport and co-curricular activities.
Academic Matters
The school’s students have achieved excellent academic results with a recent 98% A-level pass rate and we have also placed 25th out of the over 200 schools which offer the International Baccalaureate. Almost all of its students attain places at top universities, Oxford and Cambridge.
Boarding / Pastoral Care
Warminster strongly believes in the value of a boarding education and what it can provide for each child. To meet the demands of individual families the school offers full and flexible boarding to fit in with family life and work commitments. Each house has a Housemaster or Housemistress who works closely with the House Matron. Along with residential tutors, these staff are key to the development, support and guidance of the pupils in their care. All the HMs are married with families, and this helps to foster a sense of the warmth and familiar routines of family life. The school’s aim is to create a caring atmosphere in which our boarding children feel happy, secure and comfortable.
Extracurricular
Outside of the classroom, our students enjoy a wide array of opportunities for personal growth which include drama, music and a variety of sports. This rich offering combined with a wide range of academic subjects is one of Warminster’s hallmarks.
