Basic Information & Location
Tudor Hall School is an independent day and boarding school for girls in Oxfordshire, situated between Bloxham and Banbury.
School Motto
Girls at Tudor Hall genuinely care for members of the Tudor community as well as those in the outside world. They live out the school motto ‘Habeo ut dem’, I have in order that I may give.
Academic Matters
The Aim Higher programme affords the girls a range of academic opportunities beyond the classroom, allowing them to pursue their intellectual curiosity and to engage in subject areas of particular interest to them. The programme is inclusive, so all girls can benefit, should they wish to be involved. Activities are varied: from entry to national competitions, independent project work, attending lectures as well as taking part in the many extra-curricular clubs on offer.
Boarding / Pastoral Care
Tudor Hall is a full boarding and day school which is divided into 7 boarding houses. Each house houses one academic year and is run by a house mistress and deputy. The tutor and housemistress, supported by the nurses, the chaplain, counsellors and other staff, make up the pastoral team. Their aim is to provide a safety-net around the girls so they feel confident to take responsible risks, so that they might grow.
Extracurricular
Tudor is very proud of its extensive co-curricular programme. Over recent years the school has developed a series of activities that now numbers in excess of 180 and spans the full day, from early morning until after supper, seven days a week. The breadth of choice allows the girls to work as a member of a team, to lead others, compete at county level and beyond, or just have fun developing new interests with their friends.
