Basic Information & Location
Founded in 1833, King William’s College is a non-selective co-educational boarding and day school for students aged 11-18. The school is forward thinking, and one of the few UK schools where every student in the Sixth Form studies for the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The IB philosophy, particularly its emphasis on skills and its focus on internationalism, is central to the school’s approach and it is one of the largest and most experienced IB schools in the British Isles.
The Island has beautiful scenery and has been voted ‘Best place to live in the British Isles’ (HSBC Expat Survey). The School is set in 37 acres next to the beach. The airport is five minutes away, offering easy access to UK airports with flight times of 30 to 60 minutes.

Academic Development
King William’s offers an education with academic rigour at its heart, its exam results are well above the UK average and its pupils go on to leading universities in the UK and around the world. Its Christian environment enables student to flourish as thoughtful and caring individuals showing respect and courtesy towards every individual.
Pastoral Care & Boarding
King William’s is a small school around 380 pupils where each student is known and treated as an individual. Around 25% of pupils board with approximately 14% from countries all over the world. It has two boarding houses, one for girls and one for boys.
Extra-curricular & Personal Development
The school offers an excellent programme of sport, drama and music and a broad range of extracurricular activities. Its sporting facilities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, astro pitches, playing fields for rugby, football, athletics and cricket. A golf course is next to the school and it offers a Golf Academy and Awards. The school also has its own theatre.
