Academic Matters
With an average point score of 33, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is offered as a tempting alternative to A-levels in the sixth form.
One defining feature of the School is the extent to which staff and students cooperate to come up with ideas of ways in which to develop lessons and make them even better than what they are already are.
Boarding / Pastoral Care
Felsted has ten houses in total: two for Day Pupils, six for Boarders in Years 9 to Lower Sixth and two for Upper Sixth Boarders. All pupils belong to a House, where the Housemaster or Housemistress is chiefly responsible for each child’s general welfare.
Extracurricular
Sport plays a huge role in a Felsted pupil’s life. In the core sports of Rugby, Hockey and Cricket for the boys and Hockey, Netball, Rounders and Tennis for the girls, insight is provided by expert coaches. Other sports which students can take part in during PE sessions or in extra-curricular clubs, include Swimming, Basketball, Squash, Aerobics, Football, Rugby Sevens, Keep Fit, Running, Golf, Horse Riding, Polo and Badminton.
