Basic Information & Location

Founded in 1845, Brighton College is wonderfully situated at the heart of Brighton’s Kemptown, just a short walk from the sea yet only minutes away from the beauty of the South Downs national Park. London is less than an hour away by train. Brighton College was awarded as the “Most forward thinking school” by The Week in 2017. However, the school has not been established for long and this explains why it is not as popular among local parents. In fact, under the leadership of former headmaster Sir Seldon, who was granted a knighthood, the school has become well known around the world. Brighton College Dubai will open its doors in 2018, with a capacity for 2,000 boys and girls.

Samuel Chan

Brighton College is Britain’s premier private school and one of the Hong Kong parents’ favourites. To understand a boarding school, despite of looking at its educatiol tenet, diversified extra-curricular activities and academics results, it is essential to observe the boldness of the principal. 10 years ago, after Mr. Richard Cairns taking up the duty of the Brighton College’s principal, the school ranking raises from the 150th to the top 20th. In addition to promoting educatiol reformation, Mr Cairns is such a good principal, that he still strives for maintaining students’ curiosity at the same time.
