My name is Anthony and I am currently a Form 4 student at Raimondi College. My grades at school are mediocre, thus, I have always been worried about my results. I feel very uncertain about my future, and I have a lot of questions in mind: Will I pass the HKDSE? Will I be able to get into a university?
However, this summer, I have decided to pursue my studies in the UK. At first, I had no intention of studying in the UK – it was only when my sister reached out to Samuel for help with her university application that I started to consider going to the UK as well. The fact that I will be going overseas to study worries me a lot. As I am not very proficient at English, I am afraid of not being able to communicate with the native speakers. Also, I am afraid of having a hard time keeping up with their lesson pace. However, Britannia has given me immense encouragement and support. They thoroughly explained to me about the problems I will encounter in the UK, while also giving me useful advice on how to cope with them. This boosted my confidence tremendously and gave me a greater motivation to pursue my studies in the UK.
I will be studying in the UK for three years and I wish to get into universities in Hong Kong with my A-levels results. If not, I have no choice but finish my undergraduate degree in the UK, which will cost a lot of money. Therefore, I am determined to try my best in achieving satisfactory results, in hope of receiving an offer from my dream school. I know getting into Hong Kong Universities is no easy task, but with my parents’ expectation as well as the motivation from Britannia, I will give it my all.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the staff members from Britannia, for assisting me and my sister all along, and for making our dream of studying in the UK happen. Samuel, please come and visit me if you have the time!
