Sherborne Preparatory School is a non-selective coeducational preparatory school in the town of Sherborne, Dorset in southern England.
School Motto
The school firmly believes that by creating the happy, vibrant atmosphere that epitomises The Prep, rather than a hothouse atmosphere, it can bring out the best in every pupil and allow them to achieve beyond their expectations. The school nurtures happy, enthusiastic and independent children, and wish to instill in all pupils the six core values of the school: kindness, perseverance, awareness, generosity, honesty, and independence.

Boarding / Pastoral Care
Sherborne Prep offers a range of full, weekly, flexi and occasional boarding which gives a wide range of different choices to create the best option for its students, allowing them to get the most out of a private education. The school has two boarding houses, Acreman for the boys and Netherton for the girls. The House parents ensure boarding is enjoyable and there is a real family feel to both houses. All staff ensure that boarders are happy, confident and proud of being a boarder. The school has a taste of the countryside, with its twelve acres of grounds, and the boarders are encouraged to enjoy the grounds to the full.

The wide range of clubs and activities on offer at Sherborne Prep include karate, Asian cookery, chess, design tech, clay modelling, crafts, squash, baking, football, fencing, horse riding, bushcraft, golf, tennis, orchestras and vocal groups or instrumental ensembles, website design, LAMDA drama, dance, a wide range of mainstream and unusual sports, debating, history projects…
