Malvern College is a co-educational full boarding and day school for pupils aged 13-18. Founded in 1865, Malvern is set in a beautiful 250-acre campus, which offers first-class facilities to its pupils.

Academic Matters
While maintaining valued traditions the College has always been at the forefront of educational development. It pioneered the world-renowned Nuffield Science programme and in 1992 it maintained its innovative approach by introducing the International Baccalaureate (IB) and quickly established ourselves as one of the leading IB schools in the world. For over the last two decades the school has offered both A levels and the IB and currently its Sixth Form pupils are evenly divided between the two.

GCSE
In Year 9, all students study a broad curriculum that includes English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Religious Studies, Design & Technology, Art, Drama, Music, Physical Education, Debate, IT, and Life Skills. Many also opt to study French, Latin, Spanish, or German, while non-native English speakers receive English as an Additional Language support.
By Years 10 and 11, students can personalise their subject choices, selecting from English, Mathematics, at least two sciences, a modern or classical language, and continuing with Life Skills and Ethics.
Pre-Sixth Form (Year 11)
A Level
A Levels are a popular choice for students aiming for focused, in-depth study, especially if they are considering careers in highly specialised fields such as Engineering, Medicine, Law, or the Sciences. The programme spans two years, during which students usually choose three to four subjects, allowing them to dive deeply into areas of personal strength and interest.
At Malvern College, pupils have the flexibility to design their own subject combinations, selecting from a wide range of options including sciences, humanities, languages, arts, and social sciences. However, it is important to note that Economics and Business cannot be taken together due to overlapping content.

Malvern College Extracurricular Activities
Malvern College has a deserved reputation as a school that encourages excellence and participation in sport. It encourages sporting ability to thrive in pupils of all levels.
There are excellent facilities here for training and playing sport that includes a beautiful cricket ground at the centre of the main campus. The famous Malvern Hills provide challenging terrain for Cross Country running and, in addition to the more usual sports, the boys and girls enjoy activities such as Canoeing, Swimming, Sailing, Kayak Polo, Fencing, Scuba Diving, Basketball, and Clay-pigeon Shooting.
Malvern encourages and celebrates creativity. Cultural awareness in the Creative Arts is an important feature at Malvern and is supported in the academic curriculum and beyond, by provision of a wide variety of activities that identify, engage, and nurture talent.
