Basic Information & Location

Luckley House School lies in stunning Berkshire countryside. It is a small Christian independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 11-18. The small market town of Wokingham is a good-spirited and safe place to live, with a classy choice of shops, cafés and restaurants. The town centre is just a 15-minute walk from the School.

Academic Matters

Luckley House’s pupils achieve an average of a grade higher in at least half of their GCSE subjects than pupils of similar ability in other schools. This enables its students to begin his/her A Level studies at Luckley in the best possible position to achieve those outstanding grades that will secure them a place at the university of their choice, or to secure highly regarded employment or apprenticeship opportunities.

Boarding / Pastoral Care

Luckley House’s boarding mission is to provide a warm, supportive and encouraging environment in which friendship and social skills can be nurtured with provision made for private academic study and leisure pursuits. Its further aim is to reflect the stability of a caring home and to provide the wealth of activities made possible in a large community; there should be opportunity for establishing good patterns of work together with learning the arts of living in a community particularly one with cultural and ethnic diversity.

Extracurricular

The rich and varied programme of extra-curricular activities at Luckely House enables its students to explore different interests and discover new talents. All boarders are encouraged to take part and the variety on offer ensures that there is something for everyone. After-school activities include; sports fixtures and clubs, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Combined Cadet Forces, martial arts, horse riding, polo, music and drama, art and crafts, such as candle making and textiles, fun cooking, fun science and board games, to me just a few.
