Loughborough University offers an International Foundation Programme (IFP) for international students who have completed secondary education and want to progress to an undergraduate degree.
The programme lasts one year and is delivered through OnCampus Loughborough. Successful students are guaranteed progression onto a Loughborough undergraduate course, provided they meet the required criteria.

Loughborough University Entry Requirements
Applicants are normally expected to have at least three A levels. Some courses require specific subjects, which are listed in the typical offers for each course.
For students in England, Loughborough values practical science skills. Although passing the A level Science Practical Endorsement is not widely included as a formal offer condition, the university expects applicants to complete it successfully. If it is required, this will be clearly stated in the course offer.
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is recognised for developing independent research and critical thinking skills. While the EPQ is not usually part of an offer, it can strengthen an application when final results are reviewed.
Applicants taking the International Baccalaureate must complete the full Diploma, with three subjects studied at Higher Level. Specific subjects and minimum points at Higher Level are often required. IB Certificates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Both Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) and Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI) are accepted for meeting GCSE and A level Maths requirements.
Loughborough accepts a wide range of international qualifications, including the European Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, German Abitur, Hong Kong DSE, and Indian Standard XII. International Foundation Programmes are also accepted.
