Basic Information & Location
Founded 450 years ago, Oundle School is located in a small town of Northamptonshire, about an hour’s drive from London. The school has a large scale with more than a thousand students, and the ratio of international students is relatively low. It generally resembles Wellington College. Headed by the former schoolmaster Charles Bush, the school achieved great development and has become a well-established boarding school for both boys and girls, with even greater academic performance and facilities than Uppingham School.
In 2007, the school built the SciTec complex with 16 state-of-the-art laboratories, contributing to the excellent academic achievements in research and technology. As the third largest independent day and boarding school in the UK, Oundle has 860 full boarders. Its traditional British education has attracted students from all corners of the UK and over 20 countries overseas.

The school has a total of 14 dormitories, all equipped with Wi-Fi. Boarders would have their three meals in the dormitory canteen with the housemasters, who maintain a close relationship with all boarders. There are school doctor and nurse to take care of students’ health around the clock. Every weekend, there are numerous activities, through which students can enhance their friendship and enrich their boarding life.
