Samuel Chan’s journey in international education began with a solid foundation in the UK. Hailing from Hong Kong, he attended Gresham’s School before earning degrees from the University of Nottingham and University of Warwick.

After briefly teaching at the Canadian International School as part of a post-thesis gap year, Samuel recognized his strengths in building relationships and navigating the global education market. He was appointed to an international relations role, gaining experience in the sector.

Returning to Hong Kong, Samuel’s expertise made him a sought-after voice, contributing to major publications. This deep understanding inspired him to co-found Britannia, a company revolutionizing UK school placements.

Under Samuel’s leadership, Britannia grew rapidly. By 2019, it contributed to 30% of Hong Kong’s UK school placement market, and by 2023, nearly 50%. Britannia has since expanded globally, with offices opened in Malaysia, UK, China, Thailand, and plans for Japan.

Samuel’s relentless drive has redefined international education. Britannia empowers families with comprehensive school information, while pushing creative marketing strategies for institutions. As Group CEO, Samuel continues pushing boundaries to ensure students worldwide access the best UK opportunities.
