Celebrating the 500th Anniversary in 2019, King’s Bruton is a co-educational day and boarding school educating boys and girls aged 13 to 18 with the reputation of being among the very best small schools in the South West.
Located in Bruton, it lies within 45 to 60 minutes ride from Bath and Bristol, and 1 hour 40 minutes from Heathrow Airport.
Academic Development
Pupils at King’s are offered a challenging curriculum that has been designed to stretch their capabilities and maximise their personal development. Be it GCSE, A-Level or BTEC, students are able to select from an extensive range of subjects that will challenge them, and to help provide enthusiasm and motivation. Majority of pupils are accepted into their first choice university, including Oxbridge, International, Medical and Russell Group Universities.
Pastoral Care & Boarding
Teachers, tutors and Housemasters are the guardians to helps ensure pupils are provided with opportunities and support. Regarding boarding, there are four boys’ boarding houses and three girls’ boarding houses at King’s.
Extracurricular & personal development
Every week, over sixty extra-curricular activities are on offer to pupils. Hockey, CCF (Combined Cadet Force) and Duke of Edinburgh Awards are the star activities.
