【Mameshare】背着父母玩極限運動

 

不久前有個中二學生來到升學中心,他只得12歲,在屯門一間學校讀書。他來到公司的時候比較文靜,英文不佳,成績也不算好,對音樂、運動沒興趣。傾談中我問他最喜歡玩甚麼?答案令人嚇一跳:Parkour(港譯:飛躍道)!這是一項外國流行的極限運動,玩家一邊聽音樂、一邊毫無章法在高樓或天橋間縱身飛躍,身上不繫安全帶,驚險萬分。

 

他說小四開始在YouTube上自學,絕非受朋輩影響。第一次玩,純粹為執一個波,爬牆、爬水管過去對面大廈把球取回,覺得自己十分有型。我問他玩到甚麼程度,他稱曾在旺角兩棟四樓高的大廈之間飛身過去,甚至在屯門的天橋間跳躍時被捉,最後辨稱自己走錯路而逃脫。有次他曾經從天橋上跌下,痛得要命,自此停玩一年。他的眼神看來稚嫩,似乎全無意識過危險的存在,連父母也不知道他在玩Parkour。

 

我問他為甚麼不和父母分享自己的興趣?原來父母總是說他思想幼稚,因此早與他們停止了關於個人興趣的話題。由此可知,家長若習慣以高壓方式與孩子溝通,當他在外面出事,父母也可能慒然不知。情況就如孩子沉迷打機,你責罵他或收起遊戲機也毫無意義,他可以在手機上繼續打又或去朋友家打。所以當知道孩子愛玩極限運動,又或者沉迷色情網站之類,家長反而要灌輸正確態度,而不是用家長式的訓話責難他。

 

最後,我把這個學生配對去《嘩鬼上學去之農夫篇》C君同陸永讀的那間Mount Kelly,他們曾經在校園裡玩跳崖、爬泥漿等刺激活動。對於好動型學生,家長當知道他的興趣不如放手讓他嘗試,反而逼他學習琴棋書畫,只會適得其反。因為如果他不喜歡,有可能抑壓情緒,更會嘗試以Parkour之類的極限運動來發洩。萬幸的是這位學生迄今沒有跌傷手腳或頭顱,否則抱憾終生。因材施教從來是管教良方,家長要依據學生的興趣來選擇活動,方可事半功倍。

 

九月了,這名學生剛剛在Mount Kelly開學,我提醒他玩甚麼刺激活動都可以,謹記要做足安全措施。刺激與安全兩者之間,從來不應存在衝突。
