不要怕

「怕行錯路」是一種香港人的common thought,有好多人都會怕自己做錯決定行錯路而不敢挑戰。

 

記得在新城做的訪問,說過想要一直維持公司的成功,關鍵在於不要怕做錯,不要怕失敗,也是我想給學生們的忠告。

 

做錯事是一種相對的概念,小時候錯得越多,大個就錯得越少,因為你從錯誤中學會了,學對了;相反,小時候從沒做錯過,長大後就更容易犯一些低級錯誤,為何低級?因為別人早就學會的,你都沒有學會。

 

好簡單一個例子:過馬路衝紅燈是錯的,如果今天你被警察捉了,下一次就知道錯,不會再衝燈。如果你沒有被警察捉到,就好大可能繼續衝燈,一路做錯事。衝紅燈是低級錯誤,因為別人一早知有問題,你卻沒有學會。雖然說你可能一世都避開警察,但你不能否認自己的確是做錯事。

 

而且,年紀越細,越有做錯事的專利,年紀越大,別人對你的要求將會越升越高,形成一種合理expectation,因為別人眼中你要錯的已經錯過,你應該知道甚麼是對的。試想想,小朋友在士多偷可樂飲,老闆可能說他貪玩,但如果你三十歲在士多偷可樂,老闆肯定立即報警拉你這個「廢青」,不是歧視,是合理expectation引致的結果。

 

但請記住,我不是說成年人就不會犯錯,不可犯錯。只是,當你犯錯的經驗夠多,再遇到同樣情況就更懂得處理,這是錯誤給我們的成長和學習。而且,如果連這種成長也沒法阻止你犯上的某些錯誤,那麼你的成長將更加深刻。

 

最悲哀的,是如果你沒有犯過錯,只會更加怕做錯事,並更難承受做錯事的打擊,而會越來越大壓力,必須要做到十全十美,不讓自己犯錯。所以,年輕人們,襯後生,不要怕,不要怕會做錯事而不去做你想做的事。長輩們,請容許年輕人們做錯事,因為這刻錯了,學會了,未來的路就更好走。經歷過的對錯也好,回頭望,總有種會心微笑。歌都有得唱:「來忘掉錯對,來懷念過去,曾共渡患難日子總有樂趣」
