Pokemon GO啟示:倍速升呢學習法

香港和英國教育的一大分別,在於學生的position。英國學生主動學習,香港學生則是被動。Active和Passive的分別,就好似你行出街捉小精靈,定係開住Pokemon Go坐係度等佢哋埋身,效果好明顯。

老生常談。香港學生常掛在嘴邊想叻啲再叻啲,就不過是叫老師餵多啲知識;主動地要求被動學習,最後還是被動。其實香港學生可以再叻啲,再升多啲Level,但要識主動出擊。

教你一個簡單方法。如果你準備去英國讀書,可以先習慣這種英國學生人人都識的方法;如果你是本地生,也可以用這方法突出重圍,在學習路上無往而不利。


秘訣就係學舉手。「車!以為咩招式,吹到咁勁。」無錯,真係好勁,勁在香港學生明知簡單都唔夠膽做。既然大家喺街上面可以瘋狂舉起手機捉Pokemon,相信你哋喺課室入面都做得到。


學舉手,不是叫你舉手說要去toilet,而是舉手發問、補充、challenge。如果你有不明白的事,就舉手請老師詳盡解釋;如果認為老師一句太簡單,就舉手補充,舉一反三;如果覺得老師教錯了或書本有問題,就舉手指出問題。


舉手的意義在於促進思考。在香港,不少老師已經習慣了我教你聽的單向教育方式,反正學生有再多問題都寧願放著「攤凍」,放學後自己討論找書藉解答,或是索性拋諸腦後。於是老師就直接照書讀,不必太多思考,腦袋放得多就懶了。

而在英國,老師知道學生們對知識的渴求像餓狼一樣,因此每堂不得不提前做大量備課和預習,以應對學生的提問。所以在英國學校裡,老師和學生的唇槍舌劍促成了思辯的磨練,知識學多少不重要,重要的在於你能否作出有效率的思考,舉一反三。

香港學生也可以學習,在老師常規式課堂中,攻其不備來個舉手發問,反客為主殺老師一個措手不及;由「被教書」變成主動學習,將英國人課堂的刀光劍影帶過來香港。英國人學習的可貴,在於不怕成為眾人焦點,也不怕問dumb question而被同學冷嘲熱諷。課堂上不怕醜,肯舉手,是英雄。明明有野唔明,有懷疑都唔舉手提出,即係攬住一齊死。


如果你真係覺得上堂好悶,集中不了,舉手又怕醜,不妨將這堂課當成遊戲,好似玩Pokemon Go咁主動出擊捕捉小精靈。多啲舉手幫助自己真正升Level,反客為主將知識攞到手,到時話唔定夢夢都會俾你捉到。
